Itinerary

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Addis Ababa Warm welcome at Bole International Airport. Private transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

  • City tour. Addis Ababa the 3rd largest city in Africa, population 5 million and the 3rd highest capital in the world. Visit St. George cathedral, natural history, ethnological museum and others, some among the most important in sub Saharan Africa. Visit Merkato one of the largest outdoor markets to enjoy the city's plenty of cultural experiences. Enjoy folk dancing, singing, restaurants and Azmari bets (traditional dancing) late into the afternoon. Marvel at the panoramic city view below the Entoto Mountains.

  • Day 3 – Drive to Arba Minch Scenic drive through Ethiopian highlands. Visit Dorze village, famous for beehive-shaped huts and weaving.

  • Day 4 – Netch-Sar National Park & Rift Valley Lakes Safari through Netch-Sar National Park. Spot zebra, kudu, and gazelle. Boat ride across Lakes Abaya & Chamo.

  • Day 5 – Konso & Jinka Discover Konso UNESCO cultural landscape. Explore Konso “New York” sand pinnacles. Visit Keyafar market en route to Jinka.

  • Day 6 – Mago National Park & Mursi Tribe Safari in Mago National Park. Visit the Mursi people, famous for lip plates and body art. Overnight in Turmi.

  • Day 8 – Drive to Yabelo Journey south to Yabelo Wildlife Sanctuary. Spot rare birds including Prince Ruspoli’s Turaco.

  • Day 9 – Wondo Genet or Lake Langano Relax at Wondo Genet hot springs. Birdwatching opportunities (hornbills, parrots). Optional swimming and nature walks.

  • Day 10 – Rift Valley Lakes to Harar Visit Shalla, Abiyata, and Zeway lakes. Continue to Harar, Ethiopia’s medieval walled city.

  • Day 11 – Harar Exploration Explore Harar’s old city, vibrant markets, and mosques. Visit the Arthur Rimbaud House museum. Evening encounter with the Hyena Man.

  • Day 12 – Drive to Awash National Park Afternoon safari in Awash. Spot oryx, gazelles, kudu, and over 400 bird species.

  • Day 13 – Return to Addis Ababa Morning game drive in Awash. Scenic drive back to Addis. Farewell cultural dinner.

  • Day 14 – Departure Transfer to the airport for onward flight.
