Terms & Conditions of Booking & Travel Services
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, tour services, sponsorships, visa support, and travel-related arrangements provided by Horn Explore Gateway, operating in Somaliland and across the Horn of Africa.
By submitting a booking request, making payment, or accepting sponsorship, the client agrees to be legally bound by the following terms.
1. Booking & Confirmation
1.1 A booking is considered tentative until confirmed in
writing by Horn Explore Gateway.
1.2 A booking becomes confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance
payment and official confirmation.
1.3 All services are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 Payment Structure
A 30% advance payment is required to confirm any booking.
The remaining 70% balance must be paid no later than seven (7) working days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2 Accepted Payment Methods
Horn Explore Gateway accepts payments through approved international
payment gateways, including but not limited to:
Credit / Debit Cards
Online payment gateways
Authorized bank transfers
Other secure digital payment methods officially communicated
2.3 Failure to complete payment within the required timeframe may result in automatic cancellation without liability to Horn Explore Gateway.
3. Pricing & Adjustments
3.1 Prices are quoted based on current costs and
confirmed services.
3.2 Prices may be adjusted due to government fees, fuel surcharges, supplier
changes, or regulatory requirements.
3.3 Any adjustment will be communicated before final payment.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy (21-Day Rule)
4.1 Cancellation Notice
All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Cancellations must be notified at least twenty-one (21) working days prior to arrival to qualify for any refund or transfer.
Cancellations made less than 21 working days before arrival are not acceptable, and no refund or transfer shall apply.
4.2 Non-Refundable Advance
The 30% advance payment is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
This covers administrative, reservation, sponsorship, and operational costs.
4.3 Refund Eligibility
Only the remaining balance payment (70%), if already paid, may be eligible for refund or transfer.
The 30% advance payment is excluded from all refunds and transfers.
4.4 Refund Method
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed via the original payment method or issued as credit for future bookings.
Processing time may take 7–21 working days, depending on the payment gateway.
5. No-Show & Late Arrival
5.1 Failure to arrive on the confirmed date without valid
written cancellation shall be treated as a no-show.
5.2 No refund, transfer, or credit shall be issued in no-show cases.
6. Sponsorship & Local Changes After Arrival
6.1 Where Horn Explore Gateway provides travel
sponsorship, invitation letters, or official support, all agreed services and
itineraries become final upon arrival.
6.2 Horn Explore Gateway does not accept any local changes, substitutions, or
third-party takeovers after arrival under its sponsorship.
6.3 Unauthorized changes may result in immediate termination of services
without refund.
7. Airline Delays & Personal Responsibility
7.1 Horn Explore Gateway is not responsible for airline
delays, cancellations, missed connections, denied boarding, or baggage issues.
7.2 Delays or losses caused by the client’s personal behavior, negligence,
document errors, or non-compliance with airline rules are solely the client’s
responsibility.
7.3 Missed services due to such delays are non-refundable.
8. Force Majeure & Uncertainty
8.1 Horn Explore Gateway shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by force majeure or uncertain conditions, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Government actions or restrictions
Border closures
Security incidents
Political unrest
Epidemics or pandemics
Unforeseen operational disruptions
8.2 In such cases, services may be modified, postponed, or cancelled without liability.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 Horn Explore Gateway acts as a facilitator of
third-party services (hotels, transport, guides, airlines, authorities).
9.2 Horn Explore Gateway is not liable for acts, omissions, delays, or failures
of third-party providers.
10. Travel Documents & Compliance
10.1 Clients are responsible for holding valid passports,
visas, permits, and travel documents.
10.2 Assistance provided does not guarantee approval, as final authority rests
with government bodies.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Participation in tours and activities is undertaken
at the client’s own risk.
11.2 Horn Explore Gateway shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage
unless caused by proven gross negligence.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
12.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the
laws applicable in Somaliland,Ethiopia and Djabouti.
12.2 Disputes shall be resolved amicably; failing which, they fall under
competent jurisdiction.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking, making payment, or accepting sponsorship, the client confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
14. e-Visa, Entry Permits & Immigration Services (Non-Refundable)
14.1 No Responsibility for Immigration Decisions
Horn Explore Gateway does not control or guarantee the approval, rejection,
cancellation, restriction, or processing time of any e-Visa, visa, or entry
permit. All decisions rest solely with immigration authorities.
14.2 Non-Refundable e-Visa Payments
All e-Visa fees and related government payments are strictly non-refundable,
regardless of approval, delay, restriction, cancellation, or refusal.
14.3 Non-Refundable Document Services
Any service related to:
e-Visa processing
Entry permits
Immigration documentation
Government or security clearances
is non-refundable once initiated.
14.4 Separation From Tour Packages
e-Visa, entry permits, and documentation services are not included in tour packages unless explicitly stated in the confirmed itinerary.
If provided outside the itinerary, they are treated as standalone services and remain non-refundable.
14.5 Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for information accuracy, immigration compliance,
and consequences of visa refusal, cancellation, restriction, or denial of
entry.
14.6 Acceptance of This Clause
By requesting or paying for any immigration-related service, the client
explicitly accepts that such payments are non-refundable and that Horn Explore
Gateway bears no liability for immigration outcomes.
