  • Welcome to Ethiopia. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, our team will receive you and begin your guided city exploration of Addis Ababa. Visit: The Ethnological Museum The National Museum of Ethiopia (home of Lucy fossil) Entoto Hills St. George Cathedral Merkato (Africa’s largest open-air market) Overnight: Hotel Lobelia (Mid-range) Meals: Breakfast

  • Morning flight to Semera. Drive through the Afar Depression salt-producing region around Lake Afdera. Continue to Ahmed Ella village. Visit Lake Asale and enjoy sunset reflections over the salt flats. Overnight: Camping at Ahmed Ella Meals: Full Board

  • Early drive to Ragad to witness traditional salt mining caravans. Explore the surreal geothermal landscapes of Dallol — sulfur pools, acid springs, and colorful mineral formations. Afternoon transfer to Erta Ale volcano. Evening hike to the summit to witness one of the world’s rare permanent lava lakes. Overnight: Camping near Erta Ale Meals: Full Board

  • Drive north toward Hawzen in Tigray region. En route visit Abreha wa Atsbeha Church, one of Ethiopia’s earliest Christian monuments. Overnight: Vision Hotel (Hawzen) Meals: Breakfast

  • Morning visit to the spectacular Abuna Yemata Guh, famous for its vertical climb and ancient murals. Continue to Yeha Temple, Ethiopia’s oldest standing structure. Proceed to Axum. Overnight: Sabean International Hotel Meals: Breakfast

  • Explore historic Axum including: St. Mary of Zion Church Axum Stelae Park Tombs of King Kaleb Ezana Inscriptions Queen of Sheba’s Palace Ruins Axum Archaeological Museum Afternoon flight back to Addis Ababa. End of tour. Meals: Breakfast
